These are my loves.
They are the most incredible people in the whole wide world. They both love me regardless of how cranky I can be at times.
And... they adore each other.
They are also so completely in love with each other it is amazing. Speedy has never really had a proper father figure in her life. Her bio-sperm-donor-guy is a dead beat. He has been since before she was born when I would ask him to meet me at lamaze class and he would sleep through it. Call me about 3 hours after it was over and say 'oh sorry, I passed out.' Wish I was joking here.
I have been in 2 other long term relationships over the years but they never really fulfilled that void in her life.
Then along came Raspy and that was it.
Speedy loves our family date nights. Tonight the 3 of us went for movie night and saw Despicable Me. It was a great movie. We had a lovely time. I sat in the middle of 2 beautiful souls that held my hands.
Being me is pretty freaking incredible when I have those little moments of both my hands being held tight with love all throughout a movie.

It is totally possible for a daughter or son to be raised just fine by a single mom, but when there's a loving father figure, its just... better. Great post! Happy for all three of you.
